Answer:
(NOTE: If you are able to register the RealCart software that runs on your computer, then you more than likely do not have a corrupt key unless it became damaged after it was uploaded.)
The RealCart KEY file can become corrupt if you used a web based email address like Hotmail or Yahoo, or if you use the email programs Eudora or Calypso (and possibly others) to open the email from us containing your key file. Outlook and Outlook Express typically will not corrupt your key file but you can check to be sure by following this procedure.
Here is how to find out if your key file is corrupt.
- Open Notepad (or EditPad if installed) by clicking Start / Run and typing in notepad.exe and clicking OK
- Arrange the text editor into a small window (not full screen) so you can see your key file.
- Drag your key file into the text editor window and let go. (Or just open it like you would a text file.)
Your screen will look something like this:
- Press the down arrow button on your keyboard several times to see if the cursor goes down to a blank line underneath the numbers like this:
If the cursor goes down beyond the last number to a blank line then your key file is corrupt. It is quite easy to fix so dont be nervous. After all, if the key file is corrupt you cant use it anyway right?
Here is how to fix it.
- Press the Backspace button [ < ] on your keyboard only ONCE.
- Your cursor should now be immediately to the right of the last number in the key file resembling the image below:
- Press the down arrow button on your keyboard again to double-check that the extra line has been deleted.
- If what you see still resembles the third picture directly above, save the file and exit the text editor.
- Exit the shopping cart program, if open, and try applying your key file again by double-clicking it.
