What does “HTTP Error 500 - Internal Server Error” mean?

Answer: There are two main causes of this error.

Trying to run the cart configured for UNIX Server Type on an NT server.
Uploading the formmail.pl script in Binary transfer mode instead of ASCII.

Double check your web server specifications. If you are using an NT server and you are getting this error please Ask RealCart.

If you uploaded the formmail.pl script in Binary transfer mode instead of ASCII just re-upload it following the procedure outlined in our Manually configuring formmail.pl reference pages.
